Monmouth Beach Auto Burglaries
The Monmouth Beach Police Department has received several reports of vehicles being entered during the early hours of the morning. Vehicles that are left unlocked are targeted by the actors. Electronic items and money are commonly taken. The police department has already made an arrest in connection with the car burglaries and property has been returned to the owners. The police reminds the residents of the borough to make sure that all vehicles and homes are locked and secured to prevent these crimes. Please report suspicious activity when its observed. DO NOT hesitated when calling the police.
Monmouth County Auto Thefts
Monmouth County is experiencing an unusually high volume of auto thefts in the past few weeks. The suspects are concentrating on affluent areas and are targeting high end, newer model motor vehicles. Three vehicles have been stolen out of the jurisdiction of Monmouth Beach. The Monmouth Beach Police Department is investigating the incident in conjunction with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Residents are reminded to keep their vehicles locked at all times and to report any suspicious activity immediately to the Monmouth Beach Police Department at 732-229-1313.
